Course Information

Distance: 800 Meter Swim/30K Bike/5K Run
Bikes will be racked in transition on Saturday, August 28 from Noon to 7:00 p.m. There is no race-day packet pick-up or bringing your bike into transition. Plan accordingly, as you must pick up your race packet on Saturday and rack your bike.
SWIM:
A beautiful lake swim in Boulder Reservoir. Wetsuits are highly recommended, with an anticipated water temperature of 68-72 degrees.
BIKE:
Athletes will exit Boulder Reservoir on a one-loop scenic bike course. Athlete will enjoy her cycling experience amidst the beautiful terrain of this course that is pretty flat!
RUN: Athletes will finish their triathlon experience on a run course within Boulder Reservoir.
Athletes will start in waves. Each wave will be separated by 5 minutes.
Swim Wave Starts
You are assigned based on the USAT age rule, which means you are racing based on your age as of 12/31/2010. Your swim wave will be noted on your packet.
Event Day Information
Early arrival is recommended to allow time for you to park, walk to transition and get ready for a terrific race day. Transition will open at 5:00 a.m. with a prompt race start at 7:00 a.m.
Athlete wristbands will allow you in and out of transition.
Course Talks at Expo
We will have two course talks on Friday, August 27 to attend to get the latest event information, directions and more. The course talk is not mandatory, but will help make a difference in sorting out race day.

Wet suits Rules
Following the USAT rule - wet suits will be allowed up to 78 degrees water temp. After 78 degrees to 84 degrees you can wear a wet suits but you will not be eligible for age group awards. Please note we will do an official water temperature reading on race morning. Average water temps are between 68-72 degrees.
For the safety of all participants, strollers, inline skates, rollerblades, headphones and dogs are not allowed on the course at any time.
Age Group Awards
Iron Girl will give away one-of-kind Iron Girl TriClique jewelry to the top three finishers in each age group. We will have 14 divisions: 14 - 19; 20 - 24; 25 - 29; 30 - 34; 35 - 39; 40 -44; 45 - 49; 50 - 54; 55 - 59; 60 - 64; 65 - 69; 70 - 74; 75- 79; 80+
Volunteer for the Event
We are recruiting a team of dedicated volunteers to assist in helping each participant reach her goal of finishing! Are you part of a charitable organization? And individual looking for community service hours. We have opportunities for individuals and groups such as schools, clubs, churches and other not-for-profit organizations to volunteer at the event.
