Fit2Run Athleta Iron Girl Half Marathon and 5K Training
Fit2Run in Downtown St. Pete is offering a training program for each participant of the 2013 Athleta Iron Girl Clearwater Half Marathon. The Fit2Run training program is designed for the beginners who want to finish their first half marathon or 5K and for the experienced who want to improve their time. We a accommodate runners of all ages and experience.

First Step Programs
Take...The First Step, a walk-to-run program, offers coaching for walkers, joggers and runners at all levels. Lynn Gray, an RRCA certified coach, has over 45 years of experience in running and coaching. Gray is also training several newbie coaches through the Take...The First Step entity to share the love of the sport and get folks across the Bay area off the couch. Run Tampa Group Training Plan
Run Tampa Coaching is offering a 12 week plan for people 14 and up and all levels. They meet on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6:00 pm at Al Lopez Park (4810 N. Himes Ave, Tampa) starting on January 15th. They will also be meeting at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at Al Lopez Park starting on January 29th. All of the runners will work on form, cadence, drills, building strength, avoiding injury. The experienced runners will do speed work and the new runners will work on endurance, solving breathing issues, avoiding injury. FAB 50 - It’s more than a running group
We are a team of spirited women who have taken the challenge to get off the couch and train for a half-marathon. Crossing the finish line is so much more than the achievement of a 13.1 mile distance run. What we get is an incredible sense of personal empowerment that carries over into all aspects of our lives. What we find in training together is community, support, encouragement, motivation, accountability, and so much more. We come from all walks of life. Age doesn’t matter; Body size makes no difference. We train together and we celebrate together. On our own we are mothers, sisters, aunts, wives, grandmothers and friends, but together, we are athletes!
