Distance: 400 meter swim/22K bike/5K run

AQUA SPHERE SWIM COURSE:
A beautiful swim in Lake Michigan, close to shoreline. The swim will not go out into Lake Michigan, but rather a point-to-point along the beach. The water temperature is usually under 78 degrees, see note below on USAT wet suit rules.  Wetsuits will be allowed and encouraged. North Beach is named a Blue Wave Beach by the Clean Beach Council.

SPECIALIZED D4W BIKE COURSE:
The bike course will take you around the scenic countryside of Racine.

K-SWISS RUN COURSE: Athletes will finish their triathlon experience with a run course that is along the shoreline and is flat and fast run.

The following cut-off times for the event:
Swim – 30 minutes
Bike – 2 hours
Run – 60 minutes
Athletes will start in waves by age group for the swim.
Please understand that you must complete each leg of a triathlon within the cut-off times listed. If you do not finish each leg of the event within the cut-off time, a volunteer or race official remove your timing tag. You will not be able to go on to the next leg of the event.

Swim Wave Start
(you must start in your swim wave)
You are assigned based on the USAT age rule, which means you are racing based on your age as of 12/31/2010. Your swim wave will be noted on your packet.

Event Day Information
Early arrival is recommended to allow time for you to park, walk to transition and get ready for a terrific race day. Transition will open at 4:30 a.m. and will close at 6:30 a.m. for a prompt race start at 7:00 a.m.

Athlete wristbands will allow you in and out of transition.

Wet suits Rules
USAT RULE Article IV Swimming Conduct
4.4 Wet suits. Each age group participant shall be permitted to wear a wet suit without penalty in any event sanctioned by USA Triathlon up to and including a water temperature of 78 degrees Fahrenheit. When the water temperature is greater than 78 degrees, but less than 84 degrees Fahrenheit, age group participants may wear a wet suit at their own discretion, provided however that participants who wear a wet suit within this temperature range shall not be eligible for prizes or awards. Age group participants shall not wear wet suits in water temperatures equal to or greater than 84 degrees Fahrenheit.

Please note we will do an official water temperature reading on race morning.

Strollers, Inline Skates, Rollerblades, Headphones and Dogs Not Allowed On Course
For the safety of all participants, strollers, inline skates, rollerblades, headphones and dogs are not allowed on the course at any time.

Age Group Awards
Iron Girl will give away one-of-kind Iron Girl necklace created by TriClique to the top three finishers in each age group. We will have 15 divisions: 14 - 19; 20 - 24; 25 - 29; 30 - 34; 35 - 39; 40 -44; 45 - 49; 50 - 54; 55 - 59; 60 - 64; 65 - 69; 70 - 74; 75- 79; 80+

Volunteer for the Event
We are recruiting a team of dedicated volunteers to assist in helping each participant reach her goal of finishing!  Are you part of a charitable organization? And individual looking for community service hours. We have opportunities for individuals and groups such as schools, clubs, churches and other not-for-profit organizations to volunteer at the event.
