Event Information

Bikes will be racked in transition on Friday, August 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. There is no race-day packet pick-up or bringing your bike into transition. Plan accordingly, as you must pick up your race packet on Friday and rack your bike. Our host hotel is offering special rates, so make a weekend getaway mini vacation for race weekend. Distance: 800 meter swim/ 30K bike/ 5K run

All activities will take place at Oneida Shores Park in Brewerton, 12 miles north of Syracuse.  

SWIM: The swim takes place in beautiful Oneida Lake, and with less weeds.

BIKE: The bike takes place on the scenic and gently rolling country roads.

RUN: The run course will feature a fast, flat out and back course along the shoreline of
Oneida Lake.

The following cut-off times will be enforced:
Swim – 35 minutes after the final swim wave start.
Bike – 3 hours after the last swim wave start.
Run – 60 minutes, once on the run course for the 5K.


Swim Wave Starts
(you must start in your swim wave)
You are assigned based on the USAT age rule, which means you are racing based on your age as of 12/31/2010. Your swim wave will be noted on your packet.


Event Day Information
Early arrival is recommended to allow time for you to park, set-up transition and get ready for a terrific race day. Transition will open at 5:00 a.m. with a prompt race start at 7:00 a.m.


Athlete wristbands will allow you in and out of transition.

Course Talks at Expo
We will have two course talks on Friday, July 25 to attend to get the latest event information, directions and more. The course talk is not mandatory, but will help make a difference in sorting out race day.

Wet suits Rules
Following the USAT rule - wet suits will be allowed up to 78 degrees water temp. After 78 degrees to 84 degrees you can wear a wet suits but you will not be eligible for age group awards. Please note we will do an official water temperature reading on race morning. Please plan accordingly to be prepared if it is wet suit legal race and you have the option to wear one.

Strollers, Inline Skates, Rollerblades, Headphones and Dogs Not Allowed On Course
For the safety of all participants, strollers, inline skates, rollerblades, headphones and dogs are not allowed on the course at any time.

All events and activities take place at Oneida Shores Park in Brewerton, 12 miles north of Syracuse.

Plenty of parking is located throughout the park, follow signs to the parking area.

At the crossroads of I-90 and I-81, Syracuse is within a day's drive of every metropolitan area in the Northeast.

Directions from I-81:
Take Exit 31 (Brewerton); left onto Bartell Road for approximately. 1 mile; the beach entrance is on the left.

We are recruiting a team of dedicated volunteers to assist in helping each participant reach her goal of finishing! Are you part of a charitable organization? And individual looking for community service hours. We have opportunities for individuals and groups such as schools, clubs, churches and other not-for-profit organizations to volunteer at the event.
