We are proud to announce our new charity program for 2009! The Aflac Iron Girl national event series will support the charitable cause of pediatric cancer research that will benefit select children’s hospitals and cancer centers throughout the country.

Donations from Aflac Iron Girl event participants and a percentage of proceeds from online merchandise sales found at IronGirlShop.com will go to designated hospitals within the Children’s Oncology Group, the world’s largest pediatric cancer research network consisting of more than 5,000 members located in leading children’s hospitals, university hospitals and cancer centers in the nation. In addition to the Aflac Cancer Center, other beneficiary hospitals include: Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, Children’s Hospital of Denver, Seattle Children’s Hospital, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Albany Medical Center in New York and Kimmel Cancer Center in Baltimore.

Individuals who raise $500.00 or more for the charity in your event market will receive the following:
Iron Girl bag
Iron Girl socks
Iron Girl visor
Iron Girl crystal paper
Special race bib
Aflac accessories that include: towel, purse hook and notepad/pen set.

All of your prizes will be sent once you reach the goal amount. If you hit the goal amount close to event, your prizes will be shipped to you soon after the event. All of your money you raise will go directly to the charity less a 6.5% processing admin fee. All of the prizes have been donated by Iron Girl and Aflac at no cost to the campaign.
